You’re Not Alone on This Journey!
As a trauma survivor and mental health specialist, I understand the anxiety, depression, and challenges that can arise from childhood experiences. You don’t have to face this struggle alone.
While therapies and medications can ease symptoms, they don’t always heal the deeper wounds. I’ve learned how the brain works in people with behavioral health issues and discovered effective ways to heal past trauma. These insights helped me break free from pain and live fully – and I want to help you do the same.
If you’re looking for a safe and supportive space to heal, let’s find a path to recovery that allows you to live joyfully today. Reach out now, and let’s begin your journey toward wholeness.

How to stop suffering from past trauma, PTSD, or Complex PTSD — and start living joyfully in the present …
Hi. I’m Lisa Guillot, a trauma recovery specialist and a survivor.
I work with individuals who have experienced childhood developmental trauma which can result in:
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD)
- emotional dysregulation
- attachment disorders
I also support people who, though not diagnosed, know that past wounds are sabotaging their lives and relationships today.
- Car accidents or physical harm
- Covid and world issues traumatizing you
- Destructive behaviors, beliefs, and habits
Let me ask, Do you often feel unhappy, alone, or worried? Perhaps lost, anxious, and misunderstood?
Does life seem to lack any real meaning?
Traumatic events, past experiences, and unresolved issues that have not been addressed can wreak havoc in many ways.
Here are common signs that past trauma is damaging your life today and ruining your future:
- feeling depressed or anxious
- suffering from various health issues like high blood pressure, a racing heart rate, fatigue, headaches, autoimmune disorders, digestive issues or skin problems
- having difficulty trusting and connecting with others
- feeling unworthy, guilty, or shameful
- experiencing uncontrollable fears and worries
- finding yourself angry, irritable or frustrated too often
- sleeping poorly – your mind constantly races or you agonize about past mistakes
- failing to set and reach goals
These things can bring you down and seem unfixable. They can derail your efforts to be happy.
Imagine having a calm, healthy sense of control over your feelings and emotions.
What if you could be mentally and physically healthy and have the ability to form healthy trusting relationships with friends and loved ones?
What if you could fully understand what’s going on inside you and develop skills to quickly regain a calm sense of control when needed.
What if you were no longer weighed down by the past, and could fully enjoy every moment while you pursued important goals in your career and relationships?
What would your life be like?
So, why is it difficult to deal with past traumas, heal old wounds, and live life more freely now?
Past traumatic or adverse experiences (especially in childhood) affect our brains and can adversely affect how we engage with the world today.
As a result, we struggle to connect to other people, ineffectively deal with emotions, and fail to get our needs met.
If things don’t change, you’re likely to have the same problems and attract the same unhealthy relationships you’re trying to avoid.
So, how do we change things to create the life we truly desire?
In work with clients, these three things have made a big difference:
1. The first thing to do is be open to the idea that your past trauma is impacting your health today.
While it’s true that past events are over and done with, your deeper self has been impacted and it’s hurting you now.
2. Secondly, be willing to examine how you cope today when life gets difficult.
Have the courage and openness to explore new ideas and approaches. A close look can make all the difference.
3. Be committed to setting and reaching goals and planning your future.
It’s not all about the past! Dreaming up your own personally fulfilling, meaningful future will do wonders for healing and growth.
